what to expect with Teamworks

We offer Brief Therapy, where even a single session can make a difference. The approach is both dynamic and practical helping you look at:

  • What's possible and how will you know its happened
  • Doing more of what works (and less of what doesn't!)
  • Your strengths and resources
  • Promoting change in 'difficult' situations
  • Including others in your change plan

referral systems

Let’s take a look at what typically happens when a manager/HR dept refers someone:

  • Each Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) has a different referral route. Companies with whom we have an Employee Assistance Contract, will refer individual staff members directly (See EAP client list). We then make direct contact with the staff member to arrange an appointment.
  • After the session(s), the counsellor may liaise with the referrer to discuss/develop a return-to-work or stay-in-work strategy. We may make suggestions to the company as to ways forward for both them and the staff member.
    We have a dual role:
    1) to ensure that the individual returns to work and
    2) that they have an increased sense of coping and well being.
  • Confidentiality – Information is shared on a need-to-know basis with the company. This is done with the staff member’s consent, with the content of the session always remaining confidential.
